Meet the founder - April McGrath

If you have a skin or hair problem you can't seem to get rid of, I've been there. I know how frustrating it is.

I had dry, sensitive skin, hair breakage, hair loss.. I tried everything to fix it and nothing was helping.

My degree in Environmental Science gave me a valuable insight into water treatment and water quality.

I saw a huge problem for the people of Ireland: the effect hard and/or chlorinated water was having on our hair and skin, which the vast majority of people were unaware about.

When I graduated from UCC in 2023, instead of getting a steady 9-5 job (my parents were thrilled about this one.. not!), I put in everything I had to get Gaia Filters off the ground.

Gaia started out as just an idea, a vision, a dream.

An eagerness to help people, to share what I knew and to offer an affordable, effective solution.

And now it's transforming the lives of thousands of people around Ireland.
